Donations for Exhibits

Here's how you can help the community appreciate and experience art by donating a piece to the Burch Library.

“Only through art can we emerge from ourselves and know what another person sees.” --Marcel Proust

The Lucius E. and Elsie C. Burch, Jr. Library seeks to be a facility that honors and displays fine art. We want to help make art a part of the Library’s culture and raise community awareness regarding the importance of art…”Art for Everyone.”

Every time we view a new work of art, it refreshes our taste for creative efforts and reminds us of the larger questions of life. Libraries, whether brick and mortar or virtual, are logical places to display and enjoy art.

Generous donations from artists will allow us to stimulate the minds of our patrons. The art work would become a permanent part of the Library’s collection and would be displayed in the Library on a rotating basis. Any donated art would also be displayed in a proposed future art gallery.

The “Art for Everyone” concept is simple:

Donate one piece of original art work, your choice, framed and ready to hang, from each exhibit. The artist’s name, the name of the piece, and the value are to be listed on the back of each piece. Your donation is tax deductible.

Please consider partnering with us to promote arts in our community.
