Access Computers and Internet Services

 

1.  Does the Library have computers that I can use? 

Yes. The Lucius E. and Elsie C. Burch, Jr. Library has computers with Internet service and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) that you can use.
Computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis for any library card holder in good standing. To support access for all patrons, the library enforces a two hour time limit per day per card for computer use.

Headphones are permitted, but volume must be kept low to not disturb others. Earbud headphones are available for purchase for $3.00 at the Circulation Desk.

Blank CD's are available for purchase for at Circulation Desk for $2.00 each.

Only two persons may share a single workstation.

Any problems with the functioning of the computers/printers should be reported immediately.

 2. Does the Library have wireless Internet service? 

Yes. The Library provides free wireless (Wi-Fi) Internet access for people with wireless-enabled computers.

3. Can I print things out from library computers?

Yes. The Library has black and white and color printers for the public to use.  Cost for a black-and-white copy is $.20 and $1.00 for a color copy. 

4. Will someone at the library teach me how to use the Internet?

The Library offers computer classes for adults on how to use the Internet and other basic skills. Sign-up is required. 
The Information staff can assist you in finding books to check out about using the Internet and computers.
